Congratulations to Old Stoic, Patrick Macdonald (Chatham 80), who has been appointed Chair of the Board of Directors of Scottish Ballet, Scotland’s national dance company.
A highly respected business leader, Patrick brings extensive boardroom and governance experience to the role. He currently serves as Chair of several organisations, including technical services company March, facilities management business Arcus FM and Moneypenny, and is a Fellow of both the Royal Society of Edinburgh and the Royal Society of Arts.
Announcing the appointment, Scottish Ballet’s CEO and Artistic Director, Christopher Hampson, praised Patrick’s inclusive leadership style, commitment to sustainability and international experience.
Patrick writes: "I am delighted to join Scottish Ballet as Chair at such an exciting moment in its development. As Scotland's national dance company, its reputation for innovation, inclusion and world-class storytelling is truly inspiring. I look forward to working with the Board, Scottish Ballet team and partners to help realise the company's ambitious vision for the future."
